5 Car Accident Causes Major Delays on I-95

Connecticut (May 31, 2011) Traffic was snarled on I-95 near Exit 57 in Guilford due to a five-car wreck on Tuesday morning. According to the Connecticut State Police the accident resulted when Gregory Motzer lost control of his truck while towing a flatbed.
The flow of traffic had come to a near stop and the truck, which was towing an excavator, slid into the rear of a Honda pilot, driven by Luray Shepard, which then rear ended a Chrysler 3000, driven by Robert Vitelli. The truck then struck the side of a Ford Explorer, driven by Anne Jordan. Motzer’s truck continued to skid sideways, and the excavator came off of the flatbed. Debris from the truck damaged a second Honda Pilot, driven by James Vickerman. Luray Shepard and Anne Jordan sustained injuries.
