Box Truck Crashes Into Trees

Connecticut (July 15, 2011)  A box truck went off of Interstate 95 south in Westport, careening off of several trees and coming to rest against a guardrail.  The one vehicle accident occurred around 11 p.m. on I-95 between Exit 18 and Exit 17.  According to the Westport Fire Department, the collision caused a fuel tank to dislodge and leak, the DEP responded to the scene to clean up the fuel spill.  Despite the heavy damage sustained to the truck, the driver was able to free himself from the wreckage and declined to be taken to the hospital.
