Box Trucks rear-ended on I-95 in Rhode Island

Rhode Island (September 14, 2011)  Two trucks crashed on I-95 south, closing the Interstate for almost an hour in West Warwick.  According to the Rhode Island State Police around 11 p.m. a box truck, driven by Salwyn Johnson, had pulled onto the right shoulder of I-95 when it was rear-ended by a dump truck.

The force of the impact sent the box truck off of Interstate 95 and into the woods.  The dump truck sustained extensive damage to the front end.

Michael Mastalerz, the driver of the dump truck had to extricated from the vehicle.  He was sustained minor injuries.

The Rhode Island State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
