Chase on I-95, Driver Chrashes and Flees the Scene

Maryland (October 9, 2011)  A Chevy Tahoe fled from Maryland State Police leading them on a high speed chase on I-95 which ended in a three car crash.  State Police attempted to pull over the Chevy Tahoe around 11 a.m.that had a temporary north Carolina tag near Exit 77.  The driver took off at a high rate of sped and exited I-95 at route 24.  The vehicle went over a curb and smashed into two park cars in the parking lot on Woodsdale Road.

Two of the suspects fled on foot from the scene, while two remained in the vehicle.  The driver and another passenger fled behind the store into the nearby woods and remain at large.

Police were assisted by a helicopter and K-9 unit in the man hunt for the two remaining suspects.  After five hours the manhunt was called off as it was assumed the suspects were no longer in the area.

Based on information provided by the people in custody, Police believe they know the idenity of the two men that fled the scene.  The driver faces multiple charges.
