Children injured in Crash on I-95 in Florida

Florida (June 26, 2012)  Multiple children were injured in an accident on I-95 in Broward County.  The crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, just south of exit 27 (Broward Blvd) according to FHP.

Wilta Joseph, was driving a SUV when he struck a tractor trailer driven by Angel Prada, on its side.  As a result, Joseph lost control of his 2009 Kia Borrego and ran into the jersey wall causing the Kia to roll over. The passengers in the Kia were six children whose ages ranged from 4- months- old to 10- years- old, and three adult passengers.  Five out of the six children and one adult suffered serious injuries and were transported to Broward Health Medical Center.

Wilta Joseph, a 28-year-old male of Dania Beach, has been charged with careless driving, and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
