Couple Dies in I-95 Crash in Virginia

Virginia (01/23/11) – A fatal early Sunday morning crash on I-95 near Richmond, Virginia closed down the interstate for five hours and left two dead.

Driver, Frances A. Prince, 38, and passenger, Cleonn C. Davis, 29 were heading southbound when she lost control of the 2008 Chevrolet Impala near the Bells Road exit. The car hit the jersey wall on the left shoulder, overturning multiple times and finally landing in the right shoulder.

Prince was partially ejected from the vehicle. Davis was completely ejected and was struck multiple times by vehicles passing the accident. Both were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to witnesses, two vehicles – a dark Dodge Charger and a gold Nissan – were believed to have been racing in the area around the time of the crash. Although there is no evidence of contact with the Impala, police are investigating the influence of the cars in the crash.
