Deputy Crashes Into Abandoned Vehicle On I-95

Maryland (July 16, 2011)  Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m. a Harford County Deputy struck an abandoned vehicle on I-95 south near Exit 77 Edgewood.  Sergeant Thomas Gamble was travelling south on Interstate 95 when he slammed into a Dodge Stratus, that had been left in the south bound on/off ramp lane by Courtney Queen.  According to Police, Courtney Queen had been travelling South on I-95 when she was cut off by another vehicle, she spun out and was unable to restart her vehicle.  She exited the vehicle and walk to the shoulder of the road when the collision occurred.   Sgt. Thomas Gamble was injured and air lifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police shut down all lanes of Interstate 95 during the investigation.  All lanes were later reopened.
