Diesel Spill Causes Headaches on I-95

Florida (December 16, 2011)  A tractor-trailer driver suffered a sneezing attack and crashed into a concrete barrier on I-95 in Brevard County.  The accident occurred at 4:20 a.m. at Exit 205-State Road 528 when the vehicle plowed through a concrete barrier and jackknifed according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash caused the trucks fuel tank to rupture, spilling about 80 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway area that separates the exit ramp from the northbound lanes of Interstate 95.

The driver, Joseph Williams, 43, was not injured in the wreck.

Authorities were forced to close the exit ramp to Exit 205-State Road 528 while crews work to clean up the spill.  Traffic has been slow in the area as commuters look for alternate routes.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident no charges have been filed at this time.
