Disabled Vehicle Overturns after being Struck on I-95

Rhode Island (December 10, 2011)  Three people were injured in a multiple vehicle accident on I-95 north in Providence.  According to the Rhode Island State Police the crash occurred at 5:00 p.m. on I-95 near Exit 19 – I195.

Kristin Domin, 19, was traveling north when her vehicle broke down and she was stopped in the right lane of Interstate 95.  A second vehicle, driven by Edmund Renden, slammed into the rear of Domin’s vehicle causing it to roll over into the concrete wall.  Domin’s vehicle was then struck by a  third vehicle, driven by Sandra Whittaker.

Rescue workers had to extricate one person from the wreckage.  Kristin Domin and Edmund Renden were injured and transported by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital.  Sandra Whittaker was also injured but did not require hospitalization.
