Driver Survives crash, Logs Litter the Roadway

Virginia (October 16, 2011)  A log truck driver was injured when tractor-trailer overturned on I-95, spilling its load in Petersburg.  The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. at Exit 50-Route 460 when the tractor-trailer went off the right side of the Interstate and flipped onto its right side.  The load of logs, spilled off of the trailer, littering the ramp.

The driver of the log truck was injured and transported to the hospital.

Crews are working to clean up the logs and then upright the tractor-trailer.

The Virginia State police are investigating the crash.   No charges have been filed at this time.
