Early Morning Fatal Accident on I-95

Massachusetts (October 19,2011)  A driver was killed on I-95 south when his Dodge RAM pickup truck crashed and burst into flames.   According to Massachusetts State Police a the fatal accident occurred around 5:45 a.m. at the Route 152 underpass near Exit 5.

20 year-old Glen Duprey was driving a pickup truck that went off the left side of Interstate 95 and struck a circular bridge support in the center median.  The violent collision caused the truck to break in half and catch fire.  Massachusetts State Police and Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

Glen Duprey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed one lane in each directions of I-95 as they worked the crash site.  The southbound lane of I-95 was re-opened a short time later.  One lane of I-95 north remained closed until 10 a.m. as authorities investigated the fatal accident scene.

The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the fatal accident.
