Fatal Crash on I-95 in Maryland

Maryland (October 11, 2011)  A driver was killed when his vehicle was rear-ended on I-95 South.  The fatal accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near Exit 109-Elkton when a box truck slammed into the rear of a stopped vehicle.

According to the Maryland State Police, Charles Price was traveling south on I-95 when his car came to a stop in the southbound lanes.  Price had  his hazard lights on.  A box truck driven by Christopher Josephs was unable to avoid the stopped vehicle, striking it in the rear.

Charles Price was killed in the crash.

Interstate 95 was south was closed for 2 hours during the reconstruction investigation.

The Maryland State Police are investigating the accident.

    I would like to be informed on this tragedy if possible. It happened right in front of me as I was traveling to Fla. I pulled my pickup truck and after seeing the entire accident.. my prayers go out to the deceased and family & the truck driver was totally remorseful as well as shaken up severely as we all were. My condolences and something I’ll never forget. God Bless..

    CHARLES WAS A “HOMETOWN/SCHOOL” FRIEND WHO I JUST HEARD FROM A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. WE KEPT IN TOUCH VIA PHONE- HOURS OF CONVERSATION! HE WILL BE MISSED.
