Virginia (August 18, 2012) A man was killed in an accident on I-95 in Fairfax County early Saturday morning. The crash occurred shortly after midnight in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at mile marker 162 just south of Lorton according to Virginia State Police.
Clarence Alston was standing next to his vehicle, which was stopped on the roadway’s right shoulder, when Carol Rood-Johnson hit Alston as she drove by in her Hyundai Sante Fe.
Clarence Alston, a 62-year-old male from D.C. died at the scene.
Carol Rood-Johnson, a 19-year-old female from Woodbridge, VA fled the scene of the accident but was later found in Prince Georges County, MD. She has been charged with DUI.
