Fatal rear-end accident, one dead and two injured

Florida (August 7, 2011) According to The Florida Highway Patrol, Jahlil O’Neil Fields, a passenger in a Nissan was killed around 6:45 a.m. on Interstate 95 north near Exit 71. The Nissan had stopped in the center lanes when it was rear-ended by a Lexus, driven by David Bohorquez.

The Nissan, driven by Kaylana Marie Wilson, was northbound and stalled out in the center lane when it may have run out of gas. The driver of the Lexus apparently did not see the stopped Nissan, slamming into the rear of vehicle. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to spin, coming to rest facing south.

Jahlil O’Neil Fields, a passenger in the Nissan, died on the scene. Both drivers, Kaylana Marie Wilson and David Bohorquez were injured and transport by ambulance to the hospital.

Authorities closed all northbound lanes as they investigate the fatal accident.
