Father killed while changing tire on I-95 in Virginia

Virginia (June 18,2012)- A man was killed in an accident on I-95 on Saturday in Chesterfield County.The crash occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m.in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95, near mile marker 64, according to Virginia State Police.

Steven Ridley, was pulled onto the right shoulder of I-95, changing a flat tire on his 2010 Chrysler 300M, with his hazard lights on.  Robert Krill was driving a U-Haul truck which hit both Ridley and his car.  35-year-old Ridly died at the scene.  Luckily his two children , a 14-year-old son who was assisting his father and a 9-year-old daughter, were not seriously injured.

Virginia State Police have charged the 62-year-old Robert Krill of North Hampton, PA with reckless driving.  He was transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.
