Three cars were involved in the crash and one vehicle went up in flames.

Two unidentified  victims were transported to local hospitals.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Youn Zelenskiy was traveling at a high rate of speed when his 2003 Acura clipped the rear of a 1994 Acura Legend driven by Michael Vasquez, as Vasquez attempted to change lanes. As a result of the impact both vehicles lost control, crashed through a guardrail and rolled down an embankment.

Zelenskiy, a 20-year-old male, and his passenger -Trinard Sharpe, a 20-year-old male- were both ejected from the Acura.

Vasquez, an 18-year-old male, was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital in stable condition.

Zelenskiy was taken to Aria Torresdal Hospital in critical condition.

Sharpe was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical condition.

None of the victims were wearing safety belts.

The accident is under investigation.

A bear was struck on the Interstate resulting in vehicles to stop on the road.  A drunk truck driver rear-ended the vehicles which were stopped in the Interstate.

The truck driver was charged and escorted to Halifax County Jail.

The Interstate was closed for almost five hours.

Toni Marie Koetzle, 24, of Halethorpe, Md. was driving a Chevy Monte Carlo when for some unknown reason the vehicle swerved to the left, crossed all lanes of traffic, and struck a BoltBus in the right front area.  The impact of the crash caused the car to leave the interstate and flip over several times.

Koetzle  was pronounced dead at the scene.  She was not wearing a safety belt.

A male passenger in the Chevy Monte Carlo was transported by helicopter to Christiana Hospital.

Mamadou Badiane, the driver of the BoltBus was not injured.  Two passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.

Patricia Stebbins was driving an SUV when her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Sherman Adams of Edison, N.J. The impact of the crash sent the tractor-trailer down an embankment.  Three victims were seriously injured.

Stebbins was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London and is listed in serious condition.  A passenger in Stebbins vehicle, Darla Holly, was listed in critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital.

The tractor-trailer driver was listed in stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital.

DEEP crews were called in to clean up about 150 gallons of diesel fuel.

Margery Szczepanski was driving a 2007 Honda Civic in the center lane of I-95 South when she attempted to change lanes and struck the rear of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee SUV.  The impact caused the SUV to cross over all southbound lanes and the median into the lanes of I-95 North.  As a result the SUV crashed head-on into a 2012 Subaru Legacy.

Both drivers of the SUV and Subaru were taken to Christiana Hospital.  The driver of the SUV , a 24-year-old man, is in critical condition with head injuries.  The driver of the Subaru, a 20-year-old female, is in stable condition.

Szczepanski, a 58-year-old female from New York City, was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.

Arnold Keith Key was riding his motorcycle when for some unknown reason he crashed causing him to be thrown from the bike.  Key remained in the inside travel lane of the Interstate when he was struck by a 2001 Toyota Avalon driven by Justin Moran.

Key, a 64-year-old man from North Carolina, died at the scene of the accident.

The accident is under investigation.

An unidentified 70-year-old man was driving in a 2006 dump truck when for some unknown reason he lost control of the truck and slammed in the jersey wall.  The impact of the crash caused the truck to ignite.

Sadly, the driver died at the scene.

A Toyota 4Runner was towing a trailer when for some unknown reason the trailer became unhitched.  The Toyota pulled over to assess the problem and was hit by a 2010 Acura TL.  Shortly after being hit by the Acura a 2011 Jeep struck the Toyota 4Runner causing both vehicles to ignite.

Sadia Soto was trapped in the Toyota and died at the scene.  A child was pulled to rescue from the Toyota and was taken to John Hopkins Shock Trauma.

The accident is under investigation.

The two victims, who were in a black SUV, were air-lifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
