Five teens involved in rollover accident

Florida (August 3, 2011)  According to the Florida Highway Patrol  five teenagers were involved in a rollover crash on I-95 near Exit 96/Bridge Road.  The driver, 16 year-old Morgan Poulsen, was traveling northbound on Interstate 95 with four passengers in a Toyota SUV around 1:15 p.m. when the crash occurred.

The SUV drifted onto the shoulder, as the driver attempted to return to the northbound lane of I-95, Poulsen lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll over, landing on its roof. Martin County Fire Rescue had to extricate one of the teens from the vehicle.

A sixteen year-old William Pember, sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center.  The driver, Morgan Poulsen, and three other passengers, Cody Dempsey, Brandon Wise and Dimitri Lemonides were transported to Martin Memorial Hospital South with minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
