Florida Highway Patrolmen’s Car Struck by Hit and Run

Scottsmoor, Florida March 9, 2011 – Around 5 AM, Sgt. Jeffrey Holmes of the Florida Highway Patrol car was struck by a tractor trailer going northbound on I-95. Sgt. Holmes suffered minor injuries but his car received a substantial amount of damage. After the collision, the driver of the tractor-trailer failed to stop and continued northbound on I-95.

The Miami Herald reports that the truck should have damage to the front right side of the truck. The Florida highway patrol are pending charges and are searching for the tractor-trailer.
