Florida Woman Wedged Underneath Vehicle on I-95

Fort Lauderdale, Florida March 7, 2011 – Around 7 a.m. northbound on I-95 , north of Sunrise Boulevard exit, a 3-car-accident seriously injured two people.  The driver, 21-year-old Donald Williams and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Jessica Welch were ejected from the Ford Explorer after Williams lost control of the SUV.

Neither Williams nor Welch were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident according to FHP.

The accident report released on Monday stated that Welch was hit by another vehicle after being ejected from the SUV and was trapped underneath an unidentified vehicle.  According to WSVN.com, she was rescued by another driver involved in the accident and a Good Samaritan.

Williams and Welch were taken to Broward General Hospital.
