Police Suspect Alchohol was Involved in PA’s I-95 Head-On Collision

Lower Makefield, Pennsylvania on March 21 – Four people are in the hospital after a head-on crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. on I-95  in Lower Makefield township, just south of the Yardley exit.

Police report that Ewing, New Jersey resident, 29-year-old Hariom Solanki, was driving southbound when a Honda Accord traveling northbound crossed the grass median and collided with Solanki.  Toms River residents, 27-year-old Ankit Jiyani and 26-year-old Bhavesh Patel were traveling with Solanki.

The Honda was driven by Bensalem resident, 34-year-old Giselle Day.  Day sustained serious injuries and was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center.  According to investigators at the scene, she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.  Police also suspect alchohol may have played a role in her car crossing over into the southbound lane.
