Icy Maine Roads Leave Woman Dead on I-95

Etna, Maine February 28, 2011 – Around 10:45 a.m., an accident took the life of a 22-year-old Massachusetts  woman, Lydia Parker, who was returning home from Canada.

The woman’s car crashed into the rear of a parked service truck that was aiding a disabled tractor trailer. Maine Trooper Trevor Snow reported that the woman was killed on impact and the heavy snow played a big factor in the accident. The service truck driver was not on the scene when the accident happened.

According to reports by Bangor Daily News, the highway closed down for several hours but was finally reopened at 2:30pm of the same day.  State Police are asking that witnesses to the accident, or anyone with information on the accident, contact them.
