Man Injured after crashing on I-95

Maine (October 11, 2011)  A man was injured in a single car crash on Interstate 95.  According to the Maine State Police the crash happen around 8:30 a.m. on I-95 south.  The driver, Larry Carbonneau, apparent suffered a medical condition causing his vehicle to drift off the left side of the Interstate. The vehicle, a Chevy Malibu crashed into trees in the median, trapping the driver.

Rescue workers had to cut the roof off of the vehicle to free the victim from the wreckage.

Carbonneau was injured and transported to Maine General Medical Center.

Authorities closed one lane of I-95 for 1:30 minutes as they investigated the scene and cleaned up the debris.
