Man killed in single vehicle crash on I-95 in New Hampshire

New Hampshire (July 10, 2012)  A man was killed late last night in an accident on I-95 in Portsmouth. The crash occurred shortly before 12:00 a.m. on the on-ramp to the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Exit 3 (NH 33 – Greenland, Portsmouth) according to Police.

George M. Stelmach, a 40-year-old male from Barrington, was driving his pick-up truck when he veered off the on-ramp and slammed into a tree.  As a result the pick-up truck burst into flames.

Stelmach was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
