Man struck and killed on I-495

Virginia (August 24, 2011)  A man’s body was discovered early Wednesday morning in the eastbound lanes of I-495 near Exit 176-Telegraph Road.  Viginia State Police had received reports of a disabled vehicle around 2:50 a.m. and when they arrived at the scene discovered a man’s body near a 2011 Nissan Frontier.

A passenger in the Nissan, Je Ki Ma of Philadelphia, was passed out in the passenger seat.

The 2011 Nissan Frontier appeared to have rear-end damage to the vehicle, indicating a recent minor collision had occurred.  According to the Virginia State Police, they believe the unidentified driver got out of the Nissan and was fatally struck by another car in the eastbound lanes of I-495.

State Police arrested Je Ki Ma, and charged him with public intoxication.

The Virginia State Police are asking if anyone was in the area of I-495 near Telegraph Road or if anyone saw something to call state police at 703-803-0027.
