Motorcyclist Killed On I-95

Florida (October 16, 2011)  A motorcyclist was killed on I-95 around 6:45 a.m. in Palm Beach Gardens.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol the rider, Christopher L. Spear was on the flyover ramp for I-95 south from PGA Boulevard when he crashed his Suzuki motorcycle.

Spear crashed into the concrete barrier wall on the curve of the elevated ramp causing him to be ejected and thrown over the wall.  Spears landed in the northbound lanes of I-95, his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle remained on the elevated ramp.

The Florida Highway Patrol closed two lanes of I-95 and the southbound ramp to I-95 as they investigated the accident.

Christopher L. Spear died at the scene.  Spear was wearing helmet.

Police are investigating the fatal accident.
