Motorcyclist killed on I-95 in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania (September 12, 2012)  A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on I-95 in Delaware County.  The crash occurred shortly before midnight in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near exit 8-Ridley Park- according to State Police.

William E. Harrison Jr. was riding his motorcycle when he hit the back of a pickup truck causing him and his female passenger to be thrown from their bike.  Harrison, a 47-year-old male was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with major head injuries and later died from his injuries.

The unidentified female passenger was also taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center and is in serious but stable condition.

Both Harrison and his passenger were not wearing helmets.

The accident is under investigation.
