Motorcyclist Thrown Over Elevated Ramp on I-95

Florida (September 16, 2011)  A rider crashed his Honda motorcycle on the I-95 ramp at Exit 24 and went over the concrete wall, plunging 30 feet onto the grass below.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol the accident occurred around 8:25 at the 595 Interchange.  The driver, 21 year-old Osvaldo Dasilvia, lost control of the bike as he was traveling southbound on I-95, attempting to get onto 595 west, crashing into the jersey wall.

Dasilvia was thrown from the bike, going over the wall on the elevated ramp, sustaining serious injuries.  He was taken to Broward General Medical Center.  Osvaldo Dasilvia was wearing a helmet.

This is the same area where Stephanie Fredericks and Luis Gustavo Sanchez were tragically killed when their motorcycle went over the wall on July 29, 2011.
