Nine year-old ejected in Rollover Accident on I-95

Florida (August 3, 2011)  According to Florida Highway Patrol a Ford Explorer, driven by Tahesha Knight, rolled over several times on I-95 around 4 p.m.  Tahesha Knight was traveling north on Interstate 95 when the vehicle sustained a tire failure, causing the vehicle to overturn near Exit 329 in St. Johns.

The driver and a baby boy in a car seat, suffered minor injures and were transported by ambulance to Flagler Hospital.   Unfortunately, 9-year-old Zariah Kinight, in the back seat was ejected from the Ford Explorer.  The child was not wearing a seat belt.

Zariah Kinight was flown to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in serious condition.

Authorities closed Interstate 95 for an hour for the helicopter to land and investigate the accident scene.
