Northboro Woman Killed on I-95 in Attleboro, MA

Massachusetts, February 12, 2011 – Just after 8:15 a.m. a 57-year-old woman was killed traveling south on Interstate 95 in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Initial reports indicates that a Northboro woman was driving her Ford Explorer when she was read-ended by a Toyota Camry driven by 19-year-old Samantha Lee Fletcher.

The two vehicles were traveling in the right lane when Fletcher allegedly hit the back of Northboro woman’s vehicle. The collision caused the SUV to loss control, roll over, ejecting the driver and leaving a passenger trapped inside.

The SUV driver died as a result of injuries sustained in the in the accident, according to investigators. The unidentified 34-year-old passenger was removed from the wreckage and taken to Study Memorial Hospital according to Milford Daily News.

Massachusetts State Police Troop H, along with other state-level law enforcement units are investigating the accident, including speed as a possible factor according to NBC10 Providence.

This is the second fatality on Massachusetts’ I-95 in less than two weeks: Fatal I-95 Car Accident in Amesbury, MA.
