Sad and extremely tragic. Lynell, a long-time volunteer with our ministry to seafarers, was on her way to West Point for the internment of her husband’s ashes there. He had died only two weeks earlier after a very long battle with cancer. Fortunately, Lynell’s daughter and two granddaughters, in the car with her, are reported to be OK. The family, of course, is indeed in need of our prayers following such a twin loss. They are continuing with the service for George and report that Lynell’s ashes will now be scattered over his gravesite. We can take comfort that, after a short separation, they will now be together again.

  3. Please say a prayer for Lynell Stapleton, husband George, who just passed away from cancer. Lynell was driving up to West Point, with her family from St. Simons Island, Ga. to attend the military funeral for George!

Please pray for their children and grandchildren to have peace in this time of such a great loss. They were both the best friends I have ever known. Super sweet and kind to everyone. They both will be truly missed by everyone especially me. George scattered my husband[Harold]ashes because I told him that I couldn’t do it. He very sweetly said not to worry, that he would gladly do it for me. He made a bad day a lot better!!! They both were always ready to help you out anyway they could. Now they are together for ever.
