Passenger Killed when Car and Tanker Truck Collide on I-95

Connecticut (May 30, 2011) A Fatal accident at Exit 41 on I-95 in Orange CT claims the life of a passenger. The Connecticut State Police say Johnny Nunez was traveling southbound when he lost control of his Toyota Camry, careening off the median barrier. The vehicle then went under the rear section of the Tractor-trailer, driven by Patrica Lawrence.. The tractor-trailer struck a pole, and tore up several hundred feet of guardrail. According to a witness, the car was dragged down the highway for quite a distance and the passenger side was crushed under the rear wheels of the tanker. The passenger of the car, Jose Nunez, of Warrington, PA., was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver, Johnny Nunez, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with head injuries. The driver of the tanker truck was not injured.
