Passenger Killed When Ejected From Vehicle

Florida (November 16, 2011)  A young woman was killed when ejected from a vehicle in a one car crash in Flagler.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol the fatal accident happened around 2:30 a.m. at U.S. 1 and Matanzas Woods Parkway.

Victoria Jordan, was a passenger in a 2000 Toyota Camry, driven by Kendall Thomas.  Thomas was traveling south on U.S. 1, at a high rate of speed, when the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the road, colliding with several trees and overturning.  Both Jordan and Thomas were ejected during the wreck.

Tragically, Victoria Jordan, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Kendall Thomas was seriously injured and transported to Halifax Health Medical Center.

Florida Highway Patrol say speed played a role in Thomas failing to negotiate the curve causing the fatal accident.  The driver and the victim were not wearing seat belts.

The FHP are investigating the crash and no charges have been filed at this time.
