Pedestrian Survives Being Hit on I-95

Connecticut (November 2, 2011)  A pedestrian was struck on I-95 south near Exit 60 in Madison on Tuesday afternoon.  According to the Connecticut State Police a woman from the Grove School was attempting to cross I-95 around 1:30p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 95.

The victim was injured and transported to the hospital.  State Police stated the injuries were relatively minor.

Traffic was delayed in the area as police and rescue personnel responded to the scene.

Connecticut State Police are investigating the accident and trying to determine why the woman was on I-95.
