Maryland (August 20, 2012) An officer was killed in an accident on I-95 in Prince George County. The crash occurred at around 1:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near exit 29- MD 212 (Powder Mill Road) according to Maryland State Police.
Adrian Morris and his partner were investigating a theft and began a pursuit of a suspect driving a silver Acura TL An eyewitness, Ernsto Vasquez believes that the driver of the Acura had intentionally cut off the cruiser. As a result the cruiser left the roadway and crashed ejecting Officer Morris who later died.
Both officers were taken to Prince George’s County Hospital. Officer Adrian Morris was a 23-year-old male who had been on the force for 2 1/2 years.
The accident is under investigation and anyone with information should contact the Prince George County Police Department.
