Rollover Accident Kills Two on I-95

Florida (November 9, 2011)  Two men were killed when a pickup truck rolled over on I-95 north near Exit 298- U.S. Highway 1 in St. Johns County.  The fatal accident occurred just after 2 a.m. when the driver of the pickup truck, James Bellerose, struck the rear of a SUV.  James Bellerose was unable to maintain control of the vehicle after striking the rear of the SUV causing the pickup truck to rollover several times.  The driver and his passenger, Gary J. Kalil were ejected from the vehicle in the wreck.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Bellerose, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Gary Kalil, 39, was airlifted to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he later died.

The Florida Highway Patrol state that both James Bellerose, of Lowell, Mass. and Gary Kalil, of Manchester, N.H., were not wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the SUV, Anne Hiserodt, was not injured.

Authorities closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 as they investigated the fatal crash.
