Two Accidents and Two Deaths in Virginia

Virginia (May 22, 2012)  Two people were killed in separate accidents on Interstate 95 in Prince William County.  Both accidents occurred in the morning near exit 156, Dale City, according to Virginia State Police.

The first accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95.  Job J. Diaz-Lemus, was driving a 2006 Ford E350 Econoline, when he lost control of the van. As a result the vehicle hit the guardrail causing it to flip over and eject three of it’s passengers.  Marciso A. Campos, one of the ejected passengers, died at the scene.

Job J. Diaz-Lemus, was charged with reckless driving.  Luckily the other nine passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The second accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 according to Virginia State Police. Kevin L.Mullins was driving a 2010 Ford Econoline van when he rear-ended a Dodge Ram pickup which was stopped in traffic.  A chain reaction occurred causing the pickup to hit a Kia Spectra also stopped in traffic.

Mullins, a 36-year-old from Stafford County , died at the scene.  He was not wearing his seat belt.

Both accidents are under investigation.

Woman Killed in Collision with Tractor-trailer
