Massachusetts (July 17, 2012) A tanker truck has rolled over on I-95 in Woburn. The accident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. last nite in the southbound lanes of interstate 95 near Exit 38 according to state police.
The truck was carrying approximately 8,000 gallons of gasoline which spilled onto the highway as a result of the crash. Both directions of I-95 were shut down as emergency crews worked on the spill. Evacuations of nearby homes and businesses were mandatory.
The driver of the tanker truck was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
As of 5:00 a.m. the northbound lanes were reopened but only one southbound lane was opened.
