Teenager Killed when Struck on I-95

Massachusetts (November 25, 2011)  One teenager was killed and another critically injured when they were struck by a vehicle.  The fatal accident occurred at 11:45 p.m. on Interstate 95 south between Exit 44-Route 1 and Exit 43-Walnut Street.  The two teenagers got out of a 2000 Saturn SL2 that had pulled over into the median.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Conner Toscano, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old female stepped out of the Saturn and were in the travel lane of I-95 when they were hit by a passing vehicle.

Conner Toscano of Billerica died at the scene.  The 17 year-old female was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities closed I-95 south for two hours as they investigated the accident site.  Massachusetts State Police have not released the name of the 17 year-old female victim.

The fatal accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police.

Conner Toscano’s Funeral will be Thursday at Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica at 9:00 a.m.  The funeral will be followed by a graveside serice at Fox Hill Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
