Three car crash on I-95

Connecticut (August 12, 2011)  Early Friday morning a three car accident on I-95 south in Westport sent one driver to the hospital.  According to the Westport Fire Department the crash occurred between Exits 18 and 17 around 1:15 a.m. involving a vehicle that was towing a boat. 

Two of the vehicles and the trailer sustained serious damage and had to be towed from the scene.  The third vehicle was able to be driven.  One person was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

Westport Fire Department had to clean up a small amount of gasoline that spilled during the collision.

All lanes of I-95 were cleared by 2:45 a.m.
