Three injured on I-95

Florida (December 24, 2011)  Two people were seriously injured in a crash on I-95 south in Jacksonville.  Florida Highway Patrol say the accident happened just after noon in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the I-10 merger.

Deborah Tucker, 62, was driving a Dodge van south on I-95 with a 14 year-old passenger when an unknown vehicle changed lanes.  Tucker in an attempt to avoid a collision veered into the merger area and struck a disabled Chevrolet, operated by Na’Kara Crystal Diamond Love.  The force of the impact caused the Chevrolet to spin, coming to rest facing north in the southbound lanes.

Tucker sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, her passenger was also injured but did not require hospitalization.  Love was transported to the hospital with serious injures.

The unknown vehicle that changed lanes did not stop at the accident site.

Florida Highway Patrol are still investigating the accident
