Three Vehicle Accident, Box Truck Overturned

Delaware (July 22, 2011)  According to the Delaware State Police a crash around 12:30 involving three vehicles on I-95 south brought traffic to a grinding halt on Friday afternoon.  The accident between a pickup truck, minivan and a box truck occurred between Exits 5 and Exit 4 of Interstate 95. The driver of the minivan, Kathleen M. Ollek, was changing lanes when she struck another vehicle, and went in front of the box truck.  The box truck, driven by, Hipolito L. Calderon, overturned colliding with a pickup truck, both vehicles crashed into the center median barrier.  The minivan struck the rear of the pickup truck, driven by Lucinda Aparicio.  Hipolito L. Calderon, Lucinda Aparicio and a passenger in the pickup truck were transported to Christiana Care. Delaware State Police cited  Kathleen M. Ollek for an unsafe lane change. Three lanes of I-95 were closed during the accident investigation and have since reopened.  Traffic is still heavy in the area.
