Virginia (September 3, 2011) A driver was injured when his tractor-trailer crashed on I-95 north between Exits 92 and 98 in Hanover, Virginia. According to the Virginia State Police the driver of the tractor-trailer, Nery Sorto-Gonzolez, was traveling north around 12:30 p.m. when his truck left the Interstate and overturned in the center median.
Nery Sorto-Gonzolez was transported to VCU Medical Center. Two passengers were also in the truck, but were not injured.
All of the occupants were wearing seat belts.
The wreck forced authorities to close the northbound lanes of I-95 for several hours as they investigated the scene and cleaned up the debris causing heavy backups in the area.
All lanes of I-95 north were re-opened around 4 p.m.
The driver was cited for reckless driving.
