Tractor-trailer flips over

Rhode Island (August 23,2011) According to Rhode Island State Police a tractor-trailer carrying wood pallets tipped over around 4 a.m. this morning.

The accident occurred on I-95 north near the Thurbers Avenue exit.

Crews worked to up right the tractor-trailer and clear Interstate 95.  Around 6:30 a.m. Authorities were able to open the northbound lanes of Interstate 95.

At 8 a.m. I-95 north was backed up all the way to the Route 10 exit due to the Thurbers Ave. exit being completely blocked by the wood pallets the truck was carrying.

The exit reopened later in the morning.

The tractor-trailer driver, Noah Speicher was taken to a local hospital.  His condition is unknown.
