Two ejected, One Killed when SUV rear-ends Tow Truck

Pennsylvania (January 1, 2012)  A driver was killed and three injured when a SUV rear-ended a tow truck on I-95 in Delaware County.  The fatal crash occurred at 5:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Exit 2-Market Street according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Mabe Soumahoro, 29, was driving a 2001 Mazda Tribute north on I-95 with a 15 year-old female passenger in the left lane Sunday morning.  A tow truck had legally parked in the left lane responding to a prior accident when Soumahoro struck the rear of the tow truck.  The Mazda then veered right across the northbound lanes and struck a Toyota Camry, driven by Saba Amsalu. Both vehicles came to rest against the metal guardrail on the shoulder of I-95.

Soumahoro was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.  The female passenger was also ejected and transported to the hospital.

Amsalu and her passenger sustained injuries in the crash and were taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

The fatal accident forced police to close all northbound lanes as they investigated the scene and cleared the damaged vehicles.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the fatal accident.
