Two tractor-trailers and box truck crash in Virginia

Virginia (July 29, 2011)  According to the Virginia State Police three trucks have been involved in a serious accident on I-95 south. The crash occurred around 3:30a.m. when a tractor-trailer struck another tractor-trailer and then careened into a box truck.  One on the tractor-trailers came to rest on the right guardrail.  The wreck caused a fuel spill and a Hazmat crew is on the scene.

The driver of the striking tractor-trailer and the driver of the box truck have been transported to the hospital.  The driver of the striking tractor-trailer has been cited for Reckless Driving.

Two lanes of Interstate 95 south have been closed for the investigation and clean up and travelers can expect significant delays in the area.
