Two trapped in SUV rollover crash

Delaware (July 29, 2011)  According to the Delaware State Police a two vehicle accident on Interstate 95 north caused major congestion near Exit 5A Route 141.  The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. involving a 2011 Honda CRV, driven by Pavel Mostovoy, and a 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Beverly Culbert.

Pavel Mostovoy and his wife, Liliana were traveling northbound on I-95 in the right lane when a unknown truck attempted to make a lane change in front of them.  In an attempt to avoid a collision, Mostovoy lost control of his CRV and veered across the northbound lanes, colliding with the Ford Explorer.  The Honda CRV then flipped onto the driver’s side, coming to rest up against the center concrete divider.

Pavel Mostovoy and Liliana Mostovoy, both age 69, were trapped for about 30 minutes before emergency responders were able to free them.  They were transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital.

Traffic was slow in both directions of I-95 for over an hour.  Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
