Two Vehicles Collide on I-95 in Philadelphia

Pennsylvania (November 2, 2012)  Three men were seriously injured in an accident on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.  The crash occurred shortly before 12:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 near exit 30 -To PA 73 (Cottman Avenue) / Rhawn Street- according to State Police.

Youn Zelenskiy was traveling at a high rate of speed when his 2003 Acura clipped the rear of a 1994 Acura Legend driven by Michael Vasquez, as Vasquez attempted to change lanes. As a result of the impact both vehicles lost control, crashed through a guardrail and rolled down an embankment.

Zelenskiy, a 20-year-old male, and his passenger -Trinard Sharpe, a 20-year-old male- were both ejected from the Acura.

Vasquez, an 18-year-old male, was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital in stable condition.

Zelenskiy was taken to Aria Torresdal Hospital in critical condition.

Sharpe was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical condition.

None of the victims were wearing safety belts.

The accident is under investigation.
