United States Marine dies in single vehicle crash on I-95 in South Carolina

South Carolina (August 11, 2012)  A man was killed in an accident on I-95 in Florence County.  The crash occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 between exits 160 and 164 according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Kevin Alan Dabrowski was driving his 2007 Jeep when for some unknown reason the vehicle veered off the interstate hitting a guardrail and rolled over.

Dabrowski, a 24-year-old United States Marine, died at the scene of the accident.  He was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.c.

Dabrowski’s two-year-old son, who was in the Jeep, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Both Dabrowski and his son were wearing seatbelts.

The accident is under investigation.

  1. Rest in peace DBo. Semper fidelis Marine

  2. Kevin, you will always be a Hero.

Just a few weeks ago after witnessing a car accident, he pulled a man out of a smoking vehicle and took care of him until paramedics came. The man & his wife got back in touch with Kevin a few days later & called him their “angel”.

    RIP Pops

  3. Kevin was an amazing father to His son Garrett. He was a wonderful person. He Thought it was no big deal to pull that man out of the vehicle. He was helping a person in need. He didn’t see that what he did for that man was something to be thanked for. Kevin was looking forward to jump school, Colorado and a cruise in November and spending Christmas with his family. I will alway love you Kevin. You changed my life for the better. I will cherish the Time we had together. I never believed in love at first sight but with you it was different. I won’t forget our little jokes, to funny sayings, to even cooking dinner together. I know when it happened you were happy with being with Garrett and what we had in our future as well. Hugs and kisses always

LOL sam you’re so funny….its hilarious that you ignore the fact that you put him into debt, ruined his jeep, moved men in, trashed his blues and CHEATED while he was deployed in a war zone. go xxxx yourself, you don’t know what love is. Kevin was lucky to have your stupid a?! out of his life.. and thankfully, my son will never have anything to do with you…You think you know love???? How about laying your son to rest, waiting through two deployments FAITHFULLY (i know odd concept for you) and MONTHS of training….& STILL standing tall….HAHA. you know nothing.. even with the arguements and differences MY HUSBAND and I had, we knew what love was.

Rest in peace hubby.. Garrett and i love you.

Wow… the ex-girlfriend and the wife going at it!

Anyway I didn’t know Kevin but anyone who joins to fight for our freedom is a hero. To read that he helped at that accident scene again tells me the kind of guy he is.

I pray that Garrett is okay and that he can someday find comfort and strength that his dad was a proud soldier and the kind of guy we’d all like to be.

God bless Kevin, Garrett, their family & their friends.

  6. You should be ashamed of yourself. He’s gone. And nothing can bring him back, no matter how much you despise her for it, it was the past. Let Kevin’s memory live on in happiness, don’t go targeting others, we’re all grieving as you are, I’m sure if someone attacked you with such words you wouldn’t be so happy.

  7. What he and his “wife” had was so special that she left and moved to florida 3 months ago. They were sharing custody of garrett and it was going home from picking him up that he was in the accident

  8. HC is right. Whats wrong with both of you? Who’s worse here isn’t relevant. Let him be in peace. Cpl, thank you for standing up for him also.

  9. Let Kevin rest in peace for Christ sack! Even though he made some mistakes in his life it doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good father to that little boy! That boy is gonna be asking about his father in years to come!

“wife”!? You should be ashamed of yourself. This is coming from a family member of Kevin’s. You know what you have done to torture his family and so do we. Try to grow up and show some respect because we all know the truth and you should be beyond ashamed at what you have done. If I was you, I would get down on my hands and knees and beg for forgiveness from his mother, father, and sisters. You owe them respect in their time of mourning and it is about time you showed it and gave it to them. You are a disgrace to the human race. You should have taken some lessons from Kevin on how to be a spectacular human being, instead you tried to ruin him. Rest in peace Kevin….a true hero!

  11. You tell her sandie! She is a disgrace to the dabrowski family! She shouldn’t have custody of his son!..Mr and Mrs dabrowski should fight for Garrett he’s the only thiing they have left of Kevin! They will raise him better then that piece of garbage!

  12. At this point it really doesn’t matter what happened between Kevin and his wife. He is gone and doesn’t deserve to have his private life put out there for everyone to see. What matters now is Garrett. I hope the wife will do the right thing and put her feelings for everyone but Garrett aside. Kevin’s parents deserve to see him and I hope she will do the right thing. You may not want to do it for the Dabrowskis but do it for Garrett. As he gets older he is going to want to know about his fathers family. Please trust me on this I know what I am talking about. No matter what happened I am sure both parties can be civil and give Garrett the life he deserves and let him know about his father. Whatever Kevin was or wasn’t it seems like everyone agrees he was a good father, let Garrett carry that knowledge.
