Welding Tank Fire Closes I-95

Connecticut (October 24, 2011)  A fire on I-95 north closed all northbound traffic around 7:20 a.m. near Exit 48 in New haven.  According to the Connecticut State Police a welding tank fell off of a vehicle and caught fire in the left lane of I-95.  The fire department responded and decided to let the tank burn itself out, rather than risk an explosion.
