Rhode Island (January 28, 2012) A young woman was killed when she apparently jumped from a moving vehicle on I-95 south in Providence. The fatal accident occurred around 3:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Exit 21, at the Washington Street overpass according to the Rhode Island State Police.
Erica Moul, 21, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Joseph Aloisio traveling south on I-95. Moul jumped from the moving vehicle near the Washington Street overpass and was pronounced dead at the scene. Aloisio pulled over immediately after Moul jumped from the vehicle and was questioned by police.
State Police have charged Aloisio with driving under the influence.
Authorities closed part of Interstate 95 south for about an hour and a half as they investigate the accident site.
Rhode Island State Police are investigating the fatal accident.
